Answers to questions about travel to Portugal

Did you get to sleep in the wine barrel?

Unfortunately I did not get to sleep in the wine barrel @quinta_da_pacheca, but did enjoy a delish lunch in the restaurant accompanied by their wines, and a tour of the property including the vineyard, winery, spa and guest rooms.

Why Portugal?

If you have any interest in Europe, Portugal has it all ~ a sizzling gastronomy scene, vibrant cities, mountains and trails for biking & hiking, beaches, history and wineries. All that and your travel dollar goes much further in Portugal which is why it’s a popular destination for Europeans in the know.

Do you need to know Portuguese?

Not at all. Most Portuguese speak English and are happy to do so. As with many countries, if you pull out a word or two in Portuguese you will be received with a smile.

Were you limited doing activities due to Covid?

84% of the population is fully vaccinated and protocols like masking & proof of vaccination are enforced. We were able to enjoy all of our planned activities.
